The Insight:
Clash Royale has lost its player-base due to pay-to-win mechanics & getting World Cup tickets are only based on luck and how much you’re willing to pay.
The Solution?
Hijack the World Cup and pay-to-win
tactics by giving away free World Cup finals
tickets for all. Can you defend yours?
Just another thank you to Alex for creating this case study!

Since its 2016 release, Clash Royale has become one of the most downloaded mobile games, blending real-time strategy with the thrill of leveling up cards and trophies. Players are buying their way to the top through in game upgrades. But Clash Royale's true fanbase isn't having it anymore.

Similarly, World Cup Tickets are incredibly expensive. You either hope and pray to the gods to win the lottery or lose the tickets due to the first come first serve system.

Just as Clash Royale players shouldn’t have to buy upgrades to compete, soccer fans shouldn’t have to rely on luck or money to get World Cup tickets. Clash Royale introduces the Clash Cup. A series of regional tournaments where only one thing matters. Winning with Skill.

The Launch We're sending out invitations for fans to claim their free world cup tickets, in all three countries hosting the World Cup this year. These ads will be location-specific and include a QR code, letting fans take advantage of the moment right away.
